Surprisingly, many men do not know that they even have a pelvic floor. But yes men do have a pelvic floor!
Did you know that during their lifetime 1 in 10 men can experience a pelvic floor related disorder which include overactive bladder, pelvic pain, incontinence, and erectile dysfunction.
Also following prostate surgery up to 70% of men experience incontinence, and unfortunately in some men this never resolves, especially if they don’t receive appropriate physiotherapy care.
Unfortunately these pelvic floor problems can have a big impact on lifestyle and relationships.
Rebecca is a specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapist and will be able to assess all the variable causes for pelvic floor disorders, explain what is happening, and create a specific, individualised treatment and exercise plan for you.
